Contacts in MyDstny
Types of Contacts
There are two types of contacts in MyDstny:
- Personal Contacts: Created and managed by the user.
- Company Contacts: Managed by the administrator.
Both contact lists are shown in the contact view. You can mark contacts as VIP, Favorite, or Blocked. Company contacts cannot be edited or deleted.
How Contacts are Displayed
- Left Side: Groups created by you or the administrator (VIP, Favorites, Blocked).
- Right Side: The company contact directory (managed by the administrator).
Contact card details
The contact card may include the following information (defined by the administrator):
- First and last name
- Email address
- Company name
- Line status
- Presence status
- Notes
When clicking on a contact, a detailed card opens where you can:
- Add to a group
- Mark as Favorite or VIP
- Block contact via the menu icon (three dots)
- Copy information to other documents
Note: A contact cannot be both VIP/Favorite and Blocked.
Call, Send SMS, or Chat
You can click directly on a number or icon in the contact card to:
- Make a call
- Send an SMS
- Start a chat
Add a personal contact
You can add contacts via:
- Contact page (click +)
- Recent calls (click + next to the number)
- Ongoing calls (click + next to the avatar)
The following details can be saved:
- First and last name
- Company and department
- Multiple phone numbers
- Email address
- Address
The contact is also available in the mobile and softphone apps and will be displayed during calls.
Block a contact
- Click on the three dots next to the contact.
- Select Block Contact.
Edit a contact
- Click on the three dots next to the contact.
- Select Edit Contact.
- Update the information and save.
Only personal contacts can be edited.
Manage a contact
- Click on three dots and select Manage Contact.
- Use dropdown menus to manage settings.
Options are determined by settings in Dstny Core.
Edit a contact
- Click on three dots and select Delete Contact.
- Confirm by clicking Delete.
Only contacts you have created yourself can be deleted.
View Colleagues' Calendars
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can view your colleagues' availability:
- Via the search field
- By hovering over the contact (calendar icon will appear)
- By clicking on the calendar icon in the contact card
