Making Calls in MyDstny
Calling using the dialer
Use the dialer to:
- Enter a phone number using the mouse or keyboard.
- Enter DTMF codes (e.g., "Press 1 for English") during a call.
Calling a contact
Go to your contact list and click the call icon next to the person you want to call.
Calling via search
- Type all or part of a name or number in the search bar.
- Select the contact using the arrow keys or mouse.
- Press Enter to initiate the call.
Select device for calls
Under Settings > Profile, you can choose which device to make calls from:
- This setting is saved locally in your browser or app.
- You can reset it to select a new default device.
Answering incoming calls
Click the green answer button when you receive a call. If metadata (e.g., queue info or call history) is enabled, it will be displayed in the call window.
Call view – features during a call
- Mute microphone
- Hold or resume call
- Transfer call to another device
- Send SMS directly
- Start a conference call
- Transfer the call
- End the call
Call transfer
Blind transfer
- Click “…” in the call window.
- Select Transfer.
- Search for a contact or enter a number.
- Click Blind transfer.
You can also transfer a call easily using drag-and-drop. Click the green arrow in the call window and drag the widget to the contact you want to transfer to. When you drop the call on the contact, the transfer is executed automatically.
Attended transfer
- Search for or enter the contact's number.
- Call the contact to speak before connecting.
- Speak with the person before completing the transfer.
- Click Connect to finalize the transfer.
Conference calls
- Click Invite in the call view.
- Search for the person and click +.
- You’ll see a list of participants – others see the call as usual.
Note: You can only start a conference from an active call (not from multiple separate calls).
Parking calls
- Click Park.
- Go to the Queue tab to retrieve the call.
Move call to another device
- Click Move during the call.
- Select the other device (e.g., mobile).
- Answer the call on the new device to take over.
Manage calls from another device
If you answer a call on another device (e.g., mobile), you can still manage the call from MyDstny.
- The call is displayed with an orange border in the call view.
- You can pause, transfer, or end the call directly from the interface.
