Top Menu – Quick Access to Key Features

The top menu is always visible at the top of MyDstny, giving you fast access to key features. If you resize the browser window, the menu adjusts automatically to remain fully accessible, even on smaller screens like tablets or laptops.

The top menu contains the following features:

  • Search
  • Dialer
  • Status
  • Call Forwarding
  • Caller ID
  • Profile

Search – Quickly Find Contacts

The search function lets you find colleagues, external contacts, or numbers directly from the top of the page.

How it works:

  • Start typing a name, number, or company name.
  • Results will appear automatically as you type.
  • Click a contact to call, send SMS, or view more info.

You can search by:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Department
  • Phone number or extension

Search results display:

  • Name and title
  • Expandable contact details
  • Quick call button
  • Line status (red icon = busy)
  • Presence status (e.g., Available, Busy)
  • User notes (if enabled)

Tip: If you type an external number into the search bar, you can:

  • Call it directly
  • Send an SMS

Dial and Navigate Calls

Use the dialer to enter a number or interact with voice menus (DTMF). The dialer is located in the top menu.

  • Type a number to initiate a call.
  • Use digits to navigate phone menus (e.g., "Press 1 for support").

Status – Show Your Availability

Your current status is always visible in the top menu. Change it to “Lunch” or “Meeting” to indicate you're unavailable. This will also affect how incoming calls are handled.

Call Forwarding – See if Calls Are Redirected

If call forwarding is active, it will be visible in the top menu. Hover your mouse over the icon to see which number calls are being forwarded to.

To set up automatic forwarding for a certain status (e.g., Meeting or Lunch), go to Settings and then the Status tab.

Select the activity you want to configure and specify where incoming calls should go—either to a specific number, a contact, or directly to your voicemail.

You can:

  • Search for a contact
  • Enter a phone number
  • Click Voicemail to send calls there

Don’t forget to activate the option Forward all calls to for the setting to take effect. 

Caller ID – Choose Which Number Is Displayed

Choose which number will be shown when making calls—your mobile, main office number, or a department number.

Note: The administrator defines which numbers are available.

Profile – Manage Your Role, Status & Notes

Click your profile picture in the top menu to open the profile menu. Here you can:

  • Write a visible note (if enabled)
  • Log out of MyDstny
  • Update your role/title
  • Open your full profile page
